In a list of some of the most interesting places in South Carolina, OnlyinYourState.com gave props to Poinsett Bridge and several other attractions in Greenville County.
The post — “These 20 Jaw Dropping Places in South Carolina Will Blow You Away” — included everything from the natural to the industrial, with stops ranging from Angel Oak in Charleston to the UFO Welcome Center in Bowman (which looks just like you’d imagine, with a name like that).
The breathtaking Caesars Head State Park in Cleveland; Poinsett Bridge in Travelers Rest, thought to be the oldest bridge in the state; and a seemingly out of place 100-plus-year-old castle located near Paris Mountain all made it on the list, as well as the bright red Campbell’s Covered Bridge in Landrum.
“From the stunning views of the mountains in upstate South Carolina to the sandy beaches on the coast, South Carolina has all that and everything in between,” writes Only in Your State blogger Gwen Tennille. “South Carolina just happens to be a lucky state that holds so much that everyone will find something that tickles their senses or ‘strikes their fancy.'”
